Mountains and the sea have been making holiday dreams come true for four decades. And it was not yet foreseeable at the beginning how successful the idea of company founder Klaus Scheyer to sell trips without an intermediary directly would become. The Westerwald founded Germany's first travel direct provider and, together with business partners Reiner Meutsch, made Berge & Meer a brand that today stands primarily for special round and adventure trips, combination trips, but also cruises. In 2012, Thomas Klein and Tim Dunker of Klaus Scheyer and Reiner Meutsch took over the helm of Berge & Meer Touristik GmbH. After more than eight years as CEO, Thomas Klein gave the responsibility of Marcel Mayer in August 2020 with trust, who continued the company together with Tim Dunker.
