Papa-Lés has started as a family business. The simple idea of a couple wanting to share the passion for travel and a different way of seeing the world.
In 1995, after a trekking by the Pyrenees more or less spontaneous and unorganized, Luisa Tomé and Artur Pegas, recent graduates in agronomy and to navigate the first jobs began to elaborate a very tenuous sketch of what could be an adventure travel agency.
A year later, on a long boat trip between Lisbon and St. Petersburg in Russia, the idea that seemed abstract a year earlier began to take shape in the minds of each of the agency’s future founders.
Finally, in 1997, Luísa and Artur decided to move forward towards the realization of the idea. They began gathering documentation while continuing to fly compulsively. Austrian Alps, northern Thailand, Nepal, Turkey, Peru, Scotland ... in May 1998 the company was registered and the permit obtained.
