Banoa was founded in 1991 as a project by a group of people with extensive experience in the field of alternative travel.

At that time, we entered the arena of what was known as "adventure travel" with distinctive offerings and clear criteria: small-group trips lasting three to four weeks, with itineraries that never sacrificed visiting a place of interest due to the lack of hotel facilities and, most importantly, the presence of a Banoa guide in all our groups. More than 25 years later, our commitment remains strong.
