Going on vacation without having to worry about organizing, planning routes, hotel reservations, and excursions – this was already a burgeoning desire among people in Germany in the early 1950s. Finally, to be able to experience a carefree time again. Josef Leitner recognized this trend and founded his travel company in 1948. When the first privately owned coach arrived in 1956, things really took off. Trips to nearby European countries enjoyed enormous popularity.
