This 3 Day Murchison Falls safari delivers Uganda's most iconic wildlife experiences in a short yet rewarding journey. Guests enjoy rhino tracking, classic game drives, a scenic Nile boat cruise, and breathtaking views of Murchison Falls, all while staying at the comfortable Pakuba Safari Lodge.

Day 1: Monday, 3rd August 2026

Kampala – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Top of the Falls – Murchison Falls National Park

Your safari begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel or residence in Kampala. You meet your professional safari guide, who provides a short briefing before departing northwards.

The journey continues to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild. On arrival, you take part in a guided rhino tracking experience on foot, led by experienced rangers. This unique activity offers close and respectful encounters with southern white rhinos while learning about conservation and protection efforts.

After the rhino tracking experience, you enjoy lunch at the sanctuary before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park.

Upon entering the park, you drive to the Top of Murchison Falls. Here, you witness the Nile River forcing its way through a narrow seven-meter gorge before plunging dramatically below. The thunderous sound, cooling mist, and panoramic views provide one of the most powerful natural spectacles in Uganda and an excellent photographic opportunity.

You then continue to Pakuba Safari Lodge, located along the Albert Nile. After check-in, you have time to relax and enjoy the lodge's peaceful surroundings.

Pakuba Safari Lodge area is rich in wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and, with luck, lions and leopards.

You return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tuesday, 4th August 2026

Morning Game Drive | Nile Boat Cruise to the Base of the Falls

After an early breakfast, you depart for a morning game drive while wildlife is most active. The open savannah landscapes provide excellent visibility and rewarding game viewing.

You return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Guests may enjoy the swimming pool, relax on the terrace, or take in the river views.

In the afternoon, you transfer to Paraa for the Nile boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. This scenic cruise offers close encounters with hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes along the riverbanks. Birdlife is abundant throughout the journey.

The boat reaches the base of the falls, where the Nile narrows before plunging through the gorge. This dramatic viewpoint complements the top-of-the-falls visit from the previous day.

After the cruise, you return to Pakuba Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. As we head to the lodge we do another game drive.

Day 3: Wednesday, 5th August 2026

Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, you check out of the lodge and begin the return journey toward Entebbe. A lunch stop is made along the way to relax and refresh.

You arrive at Entebbe for overnight or Entebbe International Airport in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your memorable 3 Day Murchison Falls safari.
