4 DAY GORILLA EXPERIENCE IN UGANDA

TRAVEL PLAN

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT
- Arrive at Entebbe international airport. You will be welcomed by VIP meet and greet who will assist you track your luggage going through the system after which they will hand you over to your guest house representative.
- Your guide will transfer you to your accommodation, check in and give a brief about your tour.
- Overnight at Karibu guest house – Standard room (BB)

DAY 2: SCHEDULED FLIGHT BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
- Today you will have an early breakfast and your driver guide will transfer you to Entebbe airport for your scheduled flight to Kihihi airstrip/Bwindi impenetrable forest (07:00-08:45H)
- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is regarded as a UNESCO-Natural-World-Heritage and is one of the richest biological and botanical regions in the world.
With its south-west position at the edge of the western Rift-Valley, this forest covers 331km².
- The treasures of Bwindi are the approx. 400 wild Mountain gorillas. They contribute to about half of the world population of these gentle human apes.
- Arrive at the airstrip and you will be welcomed by your Manya Africa tours driver guide who will transfer you to your accommodation. This drive takes approximately 15 to 30 Minutes.
- Check in at your lodge, have lunch and relax as you enjoy services offered by the lodge
- Overnight at Mahogany springs lodge – Cottage (FB)

DAY 3: MEET THE SILVER BACK GORILLAS IN BWINDI
- Get up very early for your gorilla tracking and have a well-balanced breakfast in preparation for the day. After the registration at the Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger Station and a short briefing, your incredible gorilla tracking starts.
- Once you've located the gorilla family, you'll be asked to leave all your belongings behind and slowly approach these gentle giants armed with only your camera. The guide interprets the behavior of the animals for you. Females and their young ones, young males and even the dominant silverback can be seen feeding, playing and interacting with each other or just playing! You will never forget this experience with the gorillas. You can be sure that they are very curious to see you. You have exactly one hour with the gorillas before you return to the base station.
- After the exciting encounter with the gorillas, you will return to the village. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to see the Batwa, the indigenous people of the forest, dancing and showing their skills in plant interpretation and hunting.
- Overnight at Mahogany springs lodge – Cottage (FB)

DAY 4: SCHEDULED FLIGHT TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – DEPARTURE
- After breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled flight to Entebbe International Airport. Your guide will say goodbye and wish you a safe journey.
- Arrive at the airport and connect to your international flight (TBA).
- Depending on your flight departure time we can book you a day room at an extra cost.
